The European Business Awards represent a unique opportunity for businesses across industry lines to show off their dedication and excellence in products and practices, and this year’s championship is no exception. From over 2 million participants, 709 national champion awards were presented, and for olive oil, the spotlight was on Greek company, Agora Fine Foods.
Agora is the first Greek olive oil concept store and offers an oil of high quality, with less than 0.4 percent acidity and high polyphenol content, according to Agora’s website. Their extra virgin olive oil originates from Crete.
The EU Business Awards are in their eighth year running and are directed and judged by industrialists, business leaders, entrepreneurs, politicians, and academic professionals. The contest emphasizes superior ethics, innovation, and excellence in a given field.
This has been an exciting time for the Agora brand, said co-founder Alexandros Stefanidis. “The European Business Awards is widely recognized as the showcase for Europe’s most dynamic companies and we are now looking forward to the next round of the judging process where we can explain in more depth how we are achieving business success.”
During the next phase of the contest, a panel of judges will evaluate video footage by the National Champions and a selected group of contestants will move on to a final judging round in 2015.
