Brief
A drupe is an indeÂhisÂcent fruit in which an outer fleshy part surÂrounds a sinÂgle shell of hardÂened endoÂcarp with a seed inside. These fruits usuÂally develop from a sinÂgle carpel, and mostly from flowÂers with supeÂrior ovaries. An olive is a drupe. So is cofÂfee, jujube, mango, most palms, pisÂtaÂchio, white sapote, cashew.
