Bactrocera Oleae, also called olive fruit fly is a species of fruit fly which belongs to the Dacinae sub­fam­ily. Its lar­vae feed on the fruit of olive trees and is con­sid­ered a seri­ous pest in the cul­ti­va­tion of olives for table olive and olive oil pro­duc­tion.
