World's Best Olive Oils to Be Revealed Tonight

The win­ners of the New York International Olive Oil Competition will be announced tonight at a 5:30 press con­fer­ence broad­cast live on the event web­site, nyiooc.org.

Over 200 media and food indus­try pro­fes­sion­als are expected at the sold-out press event, which includes a tast­ing of many of the win­ning oils.

More than 820 brands from 26 coun­tries are par­tic­i­pat­ing in the com­pe­ti­tion, mak­ing it by far the largest of its kind.

The win­ning olive oils are cov­eted by chefs, food buy­ers and dis­cern­ing con­sumers every­where who value extra vir­gin olive oils of the very high­est qual­ity.

For the first time, many of the award-win­ners will be avail­able to mer­chants and the gen­eral pub­lic through the Best Olive Oils Marketplace, an inno­v­a­tive plat­form devel­oped by NYIOOC to help ven­dors who stock high-qual­ity extra vir­gin olive oils reach the grow­ing ranks of those who seek them.
